The UK Marketing Manager for Imported Whiskey is responsible for managing a team to develop and execute the brand strategy and activation plans on assigned brands & portfolio projects. This role works closely with our Marketing and Sales teams, agencies and trade partners to achieve objectives. This is a key role within the business not only looking to drive exceptional growth on the Imported Whiskey portfolio ahead of the category but also developing a blueprint for growth allowing other markets to follow suit. As Marketing Manager you will be fundamental in setting clear brand strategy with a defined path to delivering sustainable long-term growth, with strong commercial understanding to identify the necessary drivers to achieve this, then ensuring excellence in execution of all aspects of the marketing plan, resulting in strong market share growth. Using your innovation, creativity and commercial awareness you will be responsible for brand activations ensuring effective and efficient delivery on time and budget, with a focus on learning to drive continuous improvement in all we do. You will lead and deliver business building brand plans leveraging customer, category and consumer insights with a challenger mindset and action-orientated approach.
Marketing Manager – Imported Whiskey
5 – 10 years’ experience working in a similar role which had included a full marketing mix.
Demonstrate experience in building clear long-term brand strategies, that clearly flow through to prioritised drivers of growth and activation plans that unlock these.
Skilled in building long-term brand platforms building consumer tribes.
Experience in managing a portfolio of brands or products and skilled in prioritising tasks and driving team focus to deliver the best results.
Demonstrates experience of managing all aspects of brand commercial delivery, building cross-functional relationships and embracing 3rd party agencies and partners as part of a broader brand team.
Demonstrate understanding of the building brand advocacy with opinion formers, leading to brand loyalty with target consumers.
Passion and knowledge of the Whiskey category would be beneficial.
Reason for Position:
To develop, execute and evaluate best in class brand strategies and resulting activation plans to deliver exceptional long-term growth of the Imported Whiskey portfolio ahead of the category.
Develop and deliver brand strategies and plans which will achieve UK topline and profit targets effectively maximizing annual marketing budgets.
Manage, evaluate and report results linked to clear objectives and KPIs. Ensure that the brands in your portfolio perform in a manner consistent with the company’s overall strategy. Manage the achievement of volume and brand contribution objectives and create awareness and demand.
Work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that brand priorities are aligned and that your brand portfolio are performing on profit, volume and KPI metrics.
Continually Evaluate, select and manage advertising, promotion, social, activation, POS and design agencies where relevant and ensure quality output is delivered on time and on budget.

Brand Marketing experience and/or related experience in an FMCG environment
Excellent communication skills with experience of developing and delivering compelling presentations
Project management skills with the ability to successfully plan, manage, prioritise tasks and evaluate across multiple projects
Must demonstrate commercial acumen with a strong ability to analyse and draw insights from data.
